Minds Eye Entertainment is a leading independent Canadian production company with over 60 feature film and television projects to its credit. What started as a regional production company has grown into an internationally recognized, vertically integrated organization, with divisions in live action television and feature film production, animation production and North America distribution.The company has received more than 50 national and international awards and exported projects sold to over 200 territories around the world. Founded by CEO and lead producer Kevin DeWalt, the company is recognized for its expertise in international co-productions and financing, with successful partnerships across France, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, the UK, and the U.S.
The company recently completed a six-picture feature slate, including The Recall starring Wesley Snipes; The Humanity Bureau and A Score to Settle starring Nicolas Cage; Distorted starring Christina Ricci and John Cusack; Daughter of the Wolf starring Gina Carano and Richard Dreyfuss; and Endless starring Famke Janssen and Alexandra Shipp.
Since then, Dangerous was released by Lionsgate and stars Scott Eastwood, Tyrese Gibson, and Mel Gibson. Most recently, the company released Die Alone starring Carrie-Anne Moss, Douglas Smith, and Frank Grillo.
Other notable credits include Held Up starring Jamie Foxx; The Unsaid starring Andy Garcia and Linda Cardellini; One Last Dance starring Patrick Swayze; Lullaby for Pi starring Rupert Friend, Clémence Poésy, and Forest Whitaker; The Tall Man starring Jessica Biel; Faces in the Crowd starring Milla Jovovich; and Dolan’s Cadillac, based on the Stephen King novella, starring Christian Slater and Wes Bentley.
In television, Minds Eye produced the Canadian Screen Award–winning mini-series The Englishman’s Boy and Prairie Giant: The Tommy Douglas Story, along with the international children’s hit Incredible Story Studio.
The company is currently in post-production on November 1963, starring John Travolta, Robert Carlyle, Dermot Mulroney, Mandy Patinkin, and Jefferson White, directed by two-time Oscar-nominated filmmaker Roland Joffé.
