Why the internet of course. Coming soon to the internet is a web site entirely devoted to Something More that offers its visitors, well ... something more than the typical motion picture site.

Information about the romantic comedy that's been dubbed "a movie about men no woman should miss" will soon be on-line. The site features:

For the serious movie goer ... The web site also invites those who have seen the movie to send in their review and see it on-line with audience members from across the country. Audience reviews can be sent via an instant email connection and will be posted weekly.

The movie is a present day romantic comedy about a group of 20-something guys bound by basketball, bars and their romantic pursuits. Audience response to the 14A-rated Something More has been favourable, as movie goers like the film for its "realism and honesty" as well as its contemporary humour.

Something More was released September 10 and is presently on 55 screens across the nation. Something More is produced by Regina-based production companies Minds Eye Entertainment and Eighty Seven Bear Images and was shot on location in Regina, Saskatchewan May 28 to June 27, 1997. It is the first Saskatchewan-made motion picture to be theatrically released by Canadian super-distributor Alliance Atlantis Communications, and the first indigenous motion picture that has been given broad national release.

Something More was developed with the financial assistance of Telefilm Canada, The Harold Greenberg Fund and B.C. Film and the training support of Future Skills through Saskatchewan Post Secondary Education and Skills Training, and the C.F.T.P.A. (Canadian Film and Television Production Association) National Training Program. It is produced with the financial participation of Telefilm Canada, SaskFILM, and is distributed internationally by Alliance Atlantis Communications. The industry's unions, IATSE, DGC and ACTRA, provided additional support.
