| THOUSANDS VIE FOR THE ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME (Regina, CANADA) Producers of the hippest adventure series to hit the web and TV are overwhelmed with the response to their search for the right person to be the focus of My Global Adventure. Thousands of potential applicants from around the world have already entered the open competition on the web site at www.myglobaladventure.com. Created and produced by Minds Eye Entertainment, My Global Adventure is a new concept in reality-based entertainment. An interactive web site and 26 part half-hour television series will document one person’s worldwide tour to 24 countries on six continents within eight months: both will feature a real person on a real life experience, engaging in the ultimate adventure of ‘round the world travel, extreme physical challenges, as well as encountering cultural, historical and emotional events. Each and every moment of their travel will be captured by an accompanying web cast and television crew, documented for internet and broadcast. The adventurer’s personal journey is the central focus of the web site and TV series, and is reflected in their daily journal entries on the internet site. The audience becomes an active participant in their trials and tribulations … and even has the opportunity to offer ideas, observations and advice during LIVE chat sessions. This interactivity, coupled with the “as it happens” action from the web site makes My Global Adventure a one-of-a-kind web/TV entertainment vehicle. Prospects from all over the world are intrigued by the opportunity of being “the face” of this globe-trotting adventure. In recent weeks the web site’s home page received thousands of hits: more than 1,200 unique visitors have downloaded the host application alone. Visitors to the site have come from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Japan, Mexico, Malaysia, New Zealand (Aotearoa), Norway, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and the U.S. The international search for the adventurous person who will be central to this, the “ultimate road trip,” began February 19. The closing date for applications is April 2, 2001. A short list will be complete by April 9 and the final selection will be announced via web cast April 27, 2001. Kevin DeWalt, CEO of Minds Eye Entertainment, is Executive Producer and Creator. The company’s web site is www.mindseyepictures.com. Life Network, a national specialty broadcaster and division of Alliance Atlantis Communications, will begin broadcasting the first window of the television series throughout Canada in January 2002.
