SEARCH FOR GLOBAL ADVENTURER CLOSES WITH A MOUNTAIN OF ENTRIES

(Regina, CANADA) If over 1,700 downloaded applications and 500 host submissions is any indication, the producers of My Global Adventure have their work cut out for them. With the contest officially closed, the process of choosing "the face" of the hippest new adventure series to hit the web and TV, begins this week.

Producers of My Global Adventure know who they’re looking for: the person must be at least 21 years of age, likes to travel and live life to the fullest, thrives on adventure, is intellectually curious, and, possesses excellent communications skills. In other words, they must be the ideal person to be the focus of an interactive website and 26 part half-hour television series based on an adventurer traveling to 24 countries on six continents within eight months.

Producer Maureen MacDonald says, "The response to our host search for My Global Adventure has been outstanding. It is already proving to be a very interesting and difficult process to choose the ultimate host."

Created and produced by Minds Eye Entertainment, My Global Adventure is a new concept in reality-based entertainment. The interactive website and television series will feature a real person on a real life experience, engaging in the ultimate adventure of ‘round the world travel, extreme physical challenges, as well as encountering cultural, historical and emotional events. Each and every moment of their quest will be captured by an accompanying web cast and television crew, documented for internet and broadcast.

The adventurer’s personal journey is the central focus of the website and TV series, and is reflected in their daily journal entries on the internet site. The audience becomes an active participant in their trials and tribulations … and even has the opportunity to offer ideas, observations and advice during LIVE chat sessions. This interactivity, coupled with the “as it happens” action from the website makes My Global Adventure a one-of-a-kind web/TV entertainment vehicle.

On the website, myglobaladventure.com, a notice reads, "It's time for the producers to fire up the popcorn machine, and hunker down in their most comfy chairs to review audition tapes, which to date, have been looking great! Now, the waiting begins for the one lucky wanderer who'll be selected as the on-camera leader of My Global Adventure! Could it be you? Stay tuned and you'll find out SOON!"

On April 27th, via webcast 9:00 am Central, on myglobaladventure.com, it will be announced who the producers have selected as the ultimate global adventurer.

Producer and Creator of the series, Kevin DeWalt is looking forward to the selection process. "We've received an incredible cross-section of applications and we're thrilled with the response. We sent out a challenge to all adventure-seekers at heart and we've received thousands of hits on the site and hundreds of submssions in just six short weeks.

The most difficult thing we have to do now is narrow down the many, many terrific applications to just one lucky person."
