MINDS EYE C.O.O. GETS NEW ROLE
January 5, 2001
REGINA, SK - The Chief Operating Officer of Minds Eye Entertainment, Mark Prasuhn, will take on a new role at Vision TV as Vice President of Commercial Ventures and Revenue as well as General Manager of Wisdom: Body, Mind & Spirit, Vision TV's Category 1 digital service to be launched in September 2001.
Prasuhn will leave his post as the company's head of business and corporate development after almost three years in the position. He joins the Vision TV family as of January 22, but will continue to serve Minds Eye as a consultant providing continuity and advice through a one year transition.
Lisa Donahue, an eight year employee of the company, recently promoted to Vice President Business Affairs, will take on an expanded role to ensure a seamless shift of duties and responsibilities. Her demonstrated acumen in this area and strong skill set will assure continuity in Minds Eye's business affairs division.
"Over the past seven and a half years, I've had the privilege of being able to contribute to the dramatic growth of Saskatchewan's film, video and new media sector through service at SaskFilm and Minds Eye Entertainment. I'm excited about taking on a new and challenging professional opportunity, yet I'll miss the joys of working with such a talented and creative group of colleagues," says Prasuhn.
He continues, "I know that Minds Eye, and the Saskatchewan industry, is poised for even bigger and better things. I will take a keen appreciation for the achievements and qualities of Saskatchewan's film and video community into my new role, and hope to be abe to continue my contribution in a different way."
Minds Eye C.E.O. Kevin DeWalt recognizes the contributions Mark Prasuhn made while C.O.O., and is supportive of the move. "Though bittersweet, it's the highest compliment that Minds Eye can be paid. To have one of our top people chosen to head up a new specialty cable provider says a lot about the person, and at the same time, reflects well upon our company. It's a tremendous opportunity for Mark, and we're all very happy for him."
