Saskatchewan Kid’s - story studio – major part

(REGINA) – Incredible Story Studio is the one-of-a-kind series where kids’ stories from around the world are made into MOVIES! The Gemini Award winning children’s television series returned to Regina from a four week shoot in Galway Ireland, and began shooting the remaining nine episodes of the fifth season August 7. Galway, Ireland is the backdrop for stories written by European kids and Regina remains the shooting location for Canadian kids’ stories. The series will wrap it’s fifth season on October 7.

Now broadcast to over 300 million homes worldwide, Incredible Story Studio can be seen on the Disney Channel in the UK, France and Germany, Discovery Kids in the US and Latin America, YTV, SCN and CBC in Canada, Nickelodeon in Australia, SABC in South Africa, CETV in China, KEBS in Korea, NHK in Japan, Noga in Israel, TG4 in Ireland, Singapore Cable Vision, and RAI SAT in Italy among others.

Season 5 marks the milestone 65th episode for the internationally acclaimed Canadian series. This season will showcase stories and child authors from Canada, the UK, France, Germany and Austria. To celebrate kids stories worldwide, the host of Incredible Story Studio, the Studio Boss will travel the globe to introduce a European and Canadian child author and story in each episode. And what kinds of stories are kids from around the world writing about? Everything from traditional Welsh Legends to Phantom Wheelie Bins to Great Kilt Rebellions! When it comes to kids’ stories, just about anything can happen!

Vérité Films was founded in 1994 by Virginia Thompson and Robert de Lint to launch Incredible Story Studio. Vérité developed The ISS Writing Workshop: the creative writing guide that teaches kids how to write imaginative stories for television. It’s estimated that over 500,000 school children from across Canada, the UK, France and Germany have used the writing workshop to date. Vérité Films is currently developing a number of children’s and youth series.
